ProFauna Announces Ride for Orangutan Team Members

The team members consist of Made Astuti, Nyomi Andriani, Rosek Nursahid, and Rody Basuki

ProFauna Indonesia officially announces the team members of Ride for Orangutan campaign who will go on a road trip to Sumatra Island by motor bikes to promote the conservation of orangutan and the habitat. The team members consist of Made Astuti, Nyomi Andriani, Rosek Nursahid, and Rody Basuki who will campaign for the cause for a month crossing the island for about 7,000 kilometers. There are two females: Astuti from Malang City and Andriani from Sidoarjo City; in the team.

The team will start from Jakarta on 20th April 2013 and finish in Banda Aceh in the end of May 2013. SLANK, a famous music band in Indonesia which has been a Supporter of ProFauna Indonesia since 2002, will send off the team in Jakarta. SLANK greatly supports ProFauna's campaign of orangutan and the habitat conservation. Mathias Muchus, a senior actor who is ProFauna's ambassador for its forest campaign, is also scheduled to attend the send-off.

Made Astuti, the spoke person of the Ride for Orangutan stated, "I am very proud to be part of Ride for Orangutan team because the objectives of the campaign is to increase the public awareness on the conservation of orangutan and the habitat. It is such a good cause. Apart from that, the campaign will be really adventurous because the team will cross Sumatra Island by motor bikes". Astuti, a mother of two added, "The team is very excited. Since the campaign was launched, we have gained many positive responses from automotive communities and conservation groups in Sumatera that are ready to support it".

The four bikers of Ride for Orangutan team will also take some supporting team with them who will go on a four- wheel drive vehicle. The supporting team members, who come from different regions in Indonesia, are: Suparno (Malang), Radius Nursidi (Bandung), Aven (Jakarta), Asti (Malang), and Bayu Sandi (Malang). They will support the Ride for Orangutan main team to hold campaign and education at some schools and universities in Lampung. Some Supporters of ProFauna Indonesia (local volunteers) in Bandar Lampung, Jambi, Palembang, and Medan, are ready to support the Ride for Orangutan campaign in each region.
