ProFauna Conference 2013 Will be Held this September

ProFauna Conference 2013 Will be Held this SeptemberEvery two years, ProFauna hold a supporter gathering in an occasion called ProFauna Conference. ProFauna will only invite 100 supporters to attend the prestigious conference. ProFauna Conference is not just another supporter gathering, because it will also be an unmissable opportunity to expand our knowledge and to share experience in wildlife and forest conservation with the speakers from Indonesia and overseas.

This year, ProFauna Conference will be held on 12-14 September 2013 at Petungsewu Wildlife Education Center (P-WEC) in Malang, East Java. Several keynote speakers will share their experience and knowledge, namely Prof. David Pinault (USA), Dr. Hiltrud Cordes (Jerman), Dr. Herlina Agustin, Rosek Nursahid (chairman of ProFauna Indonesia) and Joe Yaggie (USA). Other speakers are Asril Abdullah from Medan who will talk about the conservation of Sumatran orangutan, Rudi Putra from Aceh will share about his experience in protecting wildlife and forest, and also Yusup Cahyadin from Jambi who will enlighten us on forest restoration.

ProFauna Conference is an inspiring moment because hundreds of ProFauna's supporters from different places will gather and bring their own stories about what they have done for the conservation of wildlife and forest. There are many simple and easy actions to contribute to conservation, and ProFauna's suppoeters ill prove that by sharing to each other at the conference.

The speakers also come from various backgrounds like teacher, professor, NGO activist, scientist, civil worker, plantation manager, and film producer. Rosek Nursahid, the chairman of ProFauna Indonesia, said "ProFauna Conference has always been very inspiring, not to mention that it would also broaden our network. This event is extraordinary for the funding comes entirely from the attendees."
